Joellens
Training Philosophy:
Training
should be fun for both the human and the dog! Positive reinforcement
methods are used to bring out the natural ability of each dog and
train them new skills based on their individual personalities. In
her experience she has found that dogs love to learn. Once
a dog learns how to learn they enjoy the training
just as much as we do. Opening up this form of communication with
your dog then allows you to shape the behaviors you like and eliminate
the behaviors that are unwanted. Dogs learn through association:
i.e. do what is pleasant and avoid what is unpleasant. Working with
a professional trainer can help to lay a solid foundation for the
owner to work from and allow you to develop a happy and healthy
relationship with your lifelong companion.
